The Xoloitzcuintle is also called the Mexican Hairless, Tepeizeuintli or simply just Xolo. The Xoloitzcuintle dog training will be easy. The color of the Xoloitzcuintle’s skin is either red or gray or black and sometimes it may have spots of different colors. Crate training will require some patience, but don’t be angry at the puppy, be gentle. You can train the Xoloitzcuintle to walk on a leash, but in case you own a toy Mexican Hairless, they can hardly be walked on leash, being too small.

They will try to protect you, so they will have the tendency to bark. If that bothers you, try using some tricks: spray water on the Xolo’s face- this will not be a pleasant experience for the dog. It will associate this experience with the barking. In case you need a watchdog, the barking will be just suitable. The Xoloitzcuintle dog training does not require much exercise, but play with your pet, it will improve their health. The Xolos are vegetarians, but you can easily train them to eat meat as well.
