How to Use Instagram Giveaways to Grow Your Following

June 29, 2021

Who doesn’t love free stuff? It doesn’t matter how rich or poor a person is as almost everyone loves to be given free prizes. Similarly, many people arrange contests so that people can win on Instagram. For example, many small businesses or even home-based companies use Instagram giveaways to increase their followers. The giveaways are related to the products they sell. For example, if an Instagram page sells makeup products, these products will be given as a free prize. Sometimes, the giveaways can be worth the hype. But some are not that good. Regardless of the quality of the giveaway, one can quickly increase his followers by organizing a giveaway. But the step is to create an Instagram business account.

Reasons for Arranging a Giveaway

Giveaways are done for two main reasons. The first is to increase your following on your Instagram business account, and the second is to promote your product. Fulfilling the desires of people for free is the most robust approach to get likes and followers.

What Are Instagram Giveaways?

A giveaway on Instagram is when a brand promises to give its services or products free to a lucky winner. There are specific criteria that should be fulfilled to enter the giveaway.

Consequently, the more people participate in the giveaway, the more likely the following will increase.

Giveaways usually ask the participants to share the post with a certain number of their friends or tag a member of friends in the center to enter the contest. By this, friends of friends get to know about the giveaway and the Instagram page. There is this famous saying “spend money to make money.” This can’t be more accurate as businesses become giants by following this saying. Once a company is well known, many people will visit it and will buy its products. This is the key to having success in marketing skills. Therefore, you need to spend money if you want your Instagram following to grow. Take the giveaway as an investment rather than an expense or a loss.

How to Initiate an Instagram Giveaway?

Decide a price for your giveaway

Set your price range and the product that you will giveaway. Leave some options for your audience to know what do they like as a giveaway. Your giveaway prize should be attractive and worth the time of people. Make it feel genuine.

Entry criteria

There can be different rules to enter the giveaway. For example, you leave a comment, tag your friends, and ask them to share the page.

Decide the time limit

Decide for how long the people should be allowed to enter the contest. You should give a week or two and make frequent announcements to remind people to enter the competition or the days left for the entries to close.

In conclusion, all the excitement that is created to tell about the giveaway alone increases the number of followers. Lastly, it all depends on the conditions you set. The more people share your post with, the more followers, comments, and likes you’re going to it.
